RSAC Charter

The RSAC Charter was updated in January 2026 to clarify authorities and streamline reporting. Below is a summary of major changes and a link to the Charter:

  • Expanding the committee’s mission to cover safety and security (Section 3)
  • Reaffirming the advisory and non-binding nature of RSAC advice (Section 4)
  • Standardizing meeting expectations--specifically, meetings will be virtual (or hybrid) by default with two to three meetings taking place per year (Section 9)
  • Clearer subcommittee authorities and limits (Section 13)

The Membership and Designation (Section 12 and Appendix) was also updated to clarify membership rules.
